Portland Pilots Women's Soccer Game!

I am stoked for the Portland Pilots women's soccer game that I get to go to this Friday. This will be my first real soccer game, and I can't wait! I'm bringing my friends Tasman and Sophie along with us, and it'll be a blast!
Besides that, I get to walk to the park with my 6th grade class tomorrow because my principle said she hasn't talked to us a bunch this year...it was kinda random. But who cares?! We get to go to the park while the rest of the school stays and does school stuff [evil laugh]!

Anyways, Ill be posting about how the game was right after I get back from the game. L8ter!

Cross Country

Yesterday, I did cross country for the first time, and I LOVED it. I am so glad that I tried a new thing, because it is my favorite thing to do, despite the sore legs I get in the morning...[giggle]. When I got there, I was SO nervous, I was shaking, and was worried that I would mess up and make a fool out of myself! I LOVE CROSS COUNTRY! :D

Amazing Camping Trip!

This weekend was definitely one of the most memorable ones this summer. We drove up to Hood River to see our aunt Amie and her boyfriend, Michael, and when we got there at 10:00 at night, we went straight to bed. In the morning, we packed up and left to go camping with them on Mt. Adams! After a bumpy ride up to the rock quarry, (on Mt. Adams) we set up our tent and started a fire. Roasting hot dogs was my favorite part! When it began to get darker, it got colder as well. I bundled up in a grand total of: 5 sweatshirts, 3 pairs of socks, 2 pairs of pants, and 4 long sleeve shirts! We were frozen like icicles during the night! When we woke up, the most astonishing thing happened. The water we had left in our cups, pots and pans the previous night were frozen SOLID! It turns out that we slept through 32-degree weather! To get ourselves warmed up, we walked four miles up to a point where we were about 7/8ths up the mountain (7,000 feet). We saw the most incredible views, including a mountain goat, plenty of chipmunks, and a cliff that would send you straight down to the bottom with one wrong step. Then, we walked three miles down (taking a shortcut). Starving for lunch, the family returned to our campsite where we had some more hot dogs. :D Just for fun, we felt like hiking some more, so we headed for a lookout cliff that Michael would show us the way to. On our way there, Ragen stumbled upon some cow bones! A jaw, a backbone, and an almost-completed vertebra were found. We hiked back, and packed up to go home, sadly. I had never gone on a real camping trip like that, with no bathrooms, or anything! It was the most fun trip I have been on this summer, and I feel really grateful to be able to go!
Another fun thing that happened just today is the first day of school! I missed so many of my friends, and I am SO glad that school has finally started! We have two new kids in our class, and they are really nice. Ragen still goes to Stafford, and she got Mrs. Kriesel for a teacher. I had her as a teacher, and she is the most loving, caring, coolest, and awesome teacher ever! I am so glad for Ragen, and she already likes Mrs. Kriesel! Yay for Ragen!
